About Us

The people who worked on this site came from all walks of life and a gamut of religious beliefs. We sincerely hope that we have communicated our passion for science education. Moreover, we hope that we have demonstrated respect for all beliefs, religious and secular.

Center for Inquiry

The purpose of the Center for Inquiry (CFI) is to contribute to the public understanding and appreciation of science and reason, and their applications to human conduct.

The Center for Inquiry is a transnational nonpartisan, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that encourages evidence-based inquiry into science, pseudoscience, medicine and health, religion, ethics, secularism, and society. The Center for Inquiry is not affiliated with, nor does it promote, any political party or political ideology.

The Center seeks to provide explanations based on scientific naturalism through education, research, publishing, and social services. The Center is also interested in providing rational ethical alternatives to the reigning paranormal and religious systems of belief, and in developing communities where like-minded individuals can meet and share experiences.

The Clergy Letter Project

The Clergy Letter Project is an organization of thousands of American clergy members who have banded together to demonstrate that religion and science need not be at odds with one another. The Clergy Letter Project's goals are to elevate the quality of the debate on this important topic and to demonstrate that those who claim that evolution is incompatible with religious beliefs are not speaking for religious leaders around the country and around the world.

Members of The Clergy Letter Project come from many different religious traditions and all find that their religious faith is enhanced by the knowledge provided by science.

Please browse our web site to learn more about our activities, including our annual Evolution Weekend event. You'll find more than 100 sermons delivered on the topic of the compatibility of religion and science, a list of more than 600 scientists from 29 countries willing to work with clergy to advance common goals, and much more.
